The new musical comedy is a celebration of female friendship, laughter, and life lessons from the movies we know and love.
Chick Flick the Musical has found its cast for its upcoming production at the Westside Theatre Off-Broadway. The four best friends at the heart of the new musical comedy will be played by Sharon Catherine Brown (Dreamgirls, Joseph...), Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Lysistrata Jones, Legally Blonde), Carla Duren (Hairspray, 110 In The Shade), and Megan Sikora (Holiday Inn, Clueless).

Megan Sikora & More to Star in Chick Flick the Musical at the Westside Theatre
Casting is here for the off-Broadway premiere of Chick Flick: The Musical, set to debut at the Westside Theatre next month. David Ruttura will direct and Sarah O'Gleby will choreograph the previously announced tuner, set to begin previews on February 21 and officially open on March 7.
The cast will be led by Chita Rivera Award winner Megan Sikora (Clueless) as Dawn, with Sharon Catherine Brown (Head Over Heels) as Karen, Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Lysistrata Jones) as Sheila and Carla Duren (110 in the Shade) as Meg. Jillian Louis (It Shoulda Been You) and Madison Stratton (Brigadoon) are the production standbys.
Featuring a book, music and lyrics by Suzy Conn (Suffra-Jets), Chick Flick the Musicalinvites audiences to join Karen, Dawn, Sheila and Meg as they get together to unwind, watch a chick flick and play their favorite drinking game.
The musical will feature music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Frank Galgano and Matt Castle, with scenic design by Jason Sherwood, costume design by Suzy Benzinger, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound design by Peter Fitzgerald.
Chick Flick the Musical is scheduled to play a limited engagement through June 29.

Chick Flick the Musical to Play Westside Theatre
Chick Flick the Musical, a new musical comedy with book, music, and lyrics by Suzy Conn (Suffra-Jets; The Mercer Girls), will open at the Westside Theatre Off-Broadway later this winter. The musical invites audiences to join four best friends as they unwind, watch a chick flick, and play their favorite drinking game.
Chick Flick the Musical will begin performances February 21 ahead of a March 7 opening night. The production is directed by David Ruttura (associate director Network; associate director School of Rock) with choreography by Sarah O'Gleby (Mythic in the West End).
Casting will be announced at a later date.
The production is presented by Broadway Venture Capital Fund, and executive producers are Richard Frankel and Joe Watson.

Broadway Venture Capital Fund and executive producers Richard Frankel and Joe Watson have announced that Chick Flick the Musical, a new musical comedy with book, music, and lyrics by Suzy Conn (The Mercer Girls), will play a limited engagement at the Westside Theatre beginning February 21, with opening night set for March 7.
Chick Flick the Musical, according to a press release, "invites you to join Karen, Dawn, Sheila, and Meg as they get together to unwind, watch a chick flick, and play their favorite drinking game. As the festivities proceed and the tequila flows, can the power of meet cutes and makeover montages save the day as relationship drama and career crises bubble to the surface? Celebrating the healing power of sisterhood, laughter, and life lessons from the movies we know and love, Chick Flick the Musical is ultimately about life's greatest love story: friendship."
Casting will be announced in the coming weeks. David Ruttura will direct, with choreography by Sarah O'Gleby. Matt Castle will be the musical director, and Castle and Frank Galgano will be the orchestrators and arrangers. The rest of the creative team will include Jason Sherwood (scenic design), Tony Award winner Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Suzy Benzinger (costume design), and Peter Fitzgerald (sound design).
